Frequently Asked Questions

Here are a list of questions asked by clients  keen to embark on recording their story for posterity.

Will my recording be private?

You can be totally assured that any recording you make will become your private property.

Your file will not appear on any public platform and will be destroyed on confirmation of your receipt.

For this reason, we advise that you ensure you have saved your file on at least one digital memory disk.

What equipment will I need?

It is essential that you have a Skype account and a digital device on which you can operate this platform.

Of course an efficient Wi-Fi signal is imperative for your story to be recorded successfully.

How Long does the process take?

After contacting us, you will be asked to fill out a brief questionnaire about  your story and the details of the four music tracks you want to include in your story.

You will meet with Suzi on Skype for 1 hour.

Can I make changes to the edit?

When your file is delivered to you, you have the option for three changes to be made to the edit if you are in any way uncomfortable.

Can I make a recording with a partner?

Couples are welcome to tell their story together, but it may become clear that more time is required, in which case the fee for this service could be higher.

Is there an age requirement?

Interviews will only be conducted with those aged 18 yrs or over.

Can I buy this for someone else?

Often family members/friends want to club together to finance an individual to tell their story for posterity, this is totally within the remit of  'You, Me & A Cup of Tea' and easily accommodated.

Can I update my story in future?

Should you want to add further details to your story in the future, simply book another hour with the host, for which there is  a cost reduction on the initial recording. Click here for Pricing.
